Please forgive the following, somewhat political rant:

I do not like overweight, blonde, washed up (well now not living) "actresses", or for that matter windtunnel hyperglycemic blonde ones-- both of which contribute far less than a significant amount of anything to society, and for that matter-- our lives. So why do these useless people take up the primetime hours on CNN? Good question.

From and article on MSNBC website:
LOS ANGELES - Hopefully, Paris Hilton likes chicken.

"She was sentenced Friday to 45 days at the Century Regional Detention Center, Los Angeles County’s jailhouse for women just south of downtown in Lynwood. Inmates there get three low-sodium meals a day, with dinner the only hot meal. Beef and pork aren’t permitted — “it’s all poultry-based,” said Capt. Alice Scott, who oversees the 2,200-inmate facility she describes as “a very nice place.” Her cell will be Spartan: 12-by-8 feet with a toilet, sink and a window 6 inches wide. She’ll comb her blonde locks in a mirror made of polished metal. Sometimes stars are allowed to do their time in a jail of their choosing. In such cases celebrities pay a daily room-and-board fee to the smaller jails, which afford them more privacy and comfort."

When interviewed by CNN she said, "I'm so much more grateful for everything that I have, [that's not saying a whole lot] even just to have a pillow at night or food," she told TV host Ryan Seacrest in a telephone interview Thursday for E! Entertainment Television. "I just can't wait to see my family and have a nice meal and be in my own bed and appreciate all the things I took for granted," she was quoted as saying by Seacrest, best known as host of the hit talent show "American Idol."[ONLY known for- otherwise, he is also a who-cares character]
The 26-year-old celebrity confirmed earlier reports she suffered extreme anxiety when confined to cramped quarters.[when you are sent to jail for being an idiot of your own right... don't call it "cramped" - that makes me want to gag... and vomit... in fact, I just gavomited]. "I'm claustrophobic, and my cell is really small," she said. "I was going a little bit crazy in the beginning. I'm getting used to it now." [again- perhaps if you were my mother, I might feel some sympathy]

First of all, I would like to offer my condolences to the celebutant for the serious discomfort that this petty mistake has caused her daily life. I guess I am glad that in her few short days when she "served time" she was humbled. I don't know- I think it might be easier to be "humble" knowing that her diamond encrusted phone and million dollar paying reality show about nothing will be right there waiting for her when she is done with her now month-long "visit" to the small motel. This isn't even the most disgusting part- look- I am even spending time writing about this chick- which means she is getting more attention and eventually more money than she ever has or ever will deserve.

And Anna Nicole? I don't mean to sound insensitive or anything, but there comes a point when the personal life of someone that insignificant to society should not take up that much time. So she had a kid, and then another kid... she gained weight... lost weight... I am missing the part where I should care...especially when there is supposedly a war going on and gas prices rising... tell me why some chick is dominating the media? And not just any media- these two have weaseled a spot on CNN! a place that use to be known for its political views and information... but I guess now that Americans have a record percentage of faith in their own government system (13% - in case you were wondering), perhaps we don't care about real things and just spend our time with a bag of chips so grateful for our own lives because we don't have to deal with any of it ourselves.
